Overview
The scientific and technological know-how, methods of science and application of science and technology has a pivotal role in creating and empowering man in the twenty first century. Naturally science and technical education becomes an important sector and a tool in the institutions where the "new man" gets properly related to his environment.

The educational institutions (especially school system) and science teachers have a special role to play. If teachers take extra pains to generate innovative approach in science education, gives special inputs in framing of curriculum, syllabi as well as generate intervening capabilities in transfer of knowledge then a participative developmental mechanism can be evolved.

The NCSTC-Network, a voluntary network of organizations involved in science and technology communication proposes to activate the teaching community by organizing IIIrd National Teachers' Science Conference (NTSC-2005), with catalytic support from the Rashtrya Vigyan Evam Pradyogiki Sanchar Parishad (RVPSP) and with Karnataka Yajya Vijnana Parishat, Bangalore as the host agency.
