| Overview
The scientific and technological know-how, methods of science
and application of science and technology has a pivotal role
in creating and empowering man in the twenty first century.
Naturally science and technical education becomes an important
sector and a tool in the institutions where the "new man"
gets properly related to his environment.
The educational institutions (especially school system) and
science teachers have a special role to play. If teachers
take extra pains to generate innovative approach in science
education, gives special inputs in framing of curriculum,
syllabi as well as generate intervening capabilities in transfer
of knowledge then a participative developmental mechanism
can be evolved.
The NCSTC-Network, a voluntary network of organizations involved
in science and technology communication proposes to activate
the teaching community by organizing IIIrd National Teachers'
Science Conference (NTSC-2005), with catalytic support from
the Rashtrya Vigyan Evam Pradyogiki Sanchar Parishad (RVPSP)
and with Karnataka Yajya Vijnana Parishat, Bangalore as the
host agency. |
